Kristian Skånberg is an SEI Affiliated Researcher with SEI Headquarters. He is involved in projects for Swedish trade unions, employer organizations, universities and governmental commissions, acting as a “Swedish-model-within-one-individual”.
Kristian has written reports for the Club of Rome, the Global Building Workers’ Trade Union, the Swedish Steel and Forestry Industries, Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and the Swedish Prime Minister’s office.
He has previously worked as an economist for the Swedish Green Party, as well as with the development of the System of Integrated Environmental and Economic Accounting, constructing “green GDPs” published in UN handbooks and “environmentally extended forestry accounts” for Eurostat.
He has a PhD in Economics and in Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics, as well as in Systems Ecology from Stockholm University. He also has an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He has published academic papers together with others, including Deutsch, L, Folke, C, and Skånberg, K. (2003).
