On 8 September, Marie Jürisoo, co-leader of the initiative, presented lessons from her fieldwork in Zambia and Kenya.
The research used a service design approach to the issue of cookstove uptake – the first effort of its kind in the clean cookstoves space. Service design is a user-centred approach, and uses methods such as trigger material to uncover people’s needs and motivations in relation to the use of a new technology.
