Victoria is a Communications Specialist with a broad range of experience in print and online media in the academic and charity sectors.

Victoria supports the Centre’s research projects and core internal and external communication activities, working with the rest of the Communications team. Currently her key role is as Communications Lead for the SAMHE (Schools’ Air quality Monitoring for Health and Education) project, investigating indoor air quality in UK schools.

Victoria has a background in wildlife conservation and environmental education. She holds an MSc in Wildlife Management from the University of Reading and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. Early in her career she worked in southern Portugal as scientific assistant warden for the charity A Rocha, then moving to work for the Church of Scotland as its first dedicated environmental officer.

More recently, Victoria has worked as Network Facilitator for an international environmental history network, Communications Officer for a York church and Senior Ethics Administrator in the University of York’s Biology Department.
