Bogdana Leshchyshyn

Bogdana Leshchyshyn is a Research Associate at SEI HQ  – Environmental Policy and Strategy Team -Societies, Climate, and Policy Support Division. She works primarily within the Green Agenda for Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Armenia (GA GUMA) project, coordinating three thematic areas: climate, energy, and buildings & renovation.

Before joining SEI, Bogdana worked at the Government of Ukraine, specifically at the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving. In this role, she was responsible for close collaboration with international partners and donor organizations, managing a variety of development-related projects funded by the European Commission, NEFCO, UNDP, USAID, GIZ. Among her other responsibilities, she was also involved in Ukraine’s European Union integration, particularly in implementing the energy efficiency and renewable energy measures outlined in the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.

Additionally, Bogdana gained research experience in circular economy at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Energy, and Environment in Germany and insights into international affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

Bogdana holds an MSc in International Administration and Global Governance with a focus on climate and energy policies from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, along with a BA and MA in International Relations from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine.
