Ara Joy Pacoma

Ara joined SEI Asia Water Cluster in January 2021 as a Research Associate. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Environment, Development, and Sustainability at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand under the joint SEI-CU program.

Ara holds a master’s degree in Political Science from the University of San Jose-Recoletos and a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences major in Political Science (cum laude) from the University of the Philippines Tacloban College. Her work focuses on climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, resilience, ecosystem-based adaptation, and adaptive governance.
