Annika Hilgert is a Research Associate at SEI Headquarters – Development Policy and Finance Team/Resources, Rights and Development Division. She is part of the SEI Finance for Sustainable Development Programme as well as supporting the Swedish Development Research Network (SweDev).
As part of her studies, Annika was previously an intern in the Development Policy and Finance Team where she worked on a project about effective forms of stakeholder engagement and aid effectiveness in WaSH interventions in Tanzania.
Annika holds a BA in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge and a MSc in Political Science from Stockholm University. She wrote her master’s thesis on the integration of scientific expertise into democratic systems, specifically about interactions between scientists, policy-makers, and citizens.
