Tommaso Piseddu is a Research Associate at SEI Headquarters – Societal Transitions Unit.
Tommaso is currently working on the Viable Cities project in the Societal Transition Unit. Within the project he is in charge of providing an estimation of what are the costs of the measures that nine cities in Sweden might implement in order to become carbon neutral by 2030. This estimation is meant to be presented breaking down the investments that are necessary from each different stakeholder (private citizens, local authorities, etc.) taking part in the process. He is also involved in the BuildERS project where he is carrying out a literature review to produce a cost-benefit analysis of different policies aimed at increasing resilience and at reducing risks related to natural disasters.
Tommaso obtained his Bachelor´s Degree in Banking, Finance and Financial Markets from the University of Pisa in 2019 and since then he has been a student in the MSc program in Economics (specialization in Applied Economic Analysis) at Stockholm School of Economics (Handelshögskolan i Stockholm) where he wrote his Master thesis analyzing the support for green policies in the US counties whose economies depend on fossil fuels.
