The Brazilian Bioenergy Science and Technology Conference and the 20-country Biofuture Platform will combine two conferences in one: the second Biofuture Platform policy conference (BIOFUTURE SUMMIT II), and the fourth edition of the Brazilian Bioenergy Science and Technology Conference (BBEST).
The event will showcase state-of-the-art processes and products, an urgent policy debate, and new trends in using the bioeconomy to create value and actual environmental and social benefits.
SEI’s Nella Canales will speak about the importance of establishing a common vision for bioeconomy and present the approach to developing a vision for national bioeconomic development on the example of Colombia.
Her presentation “Governance of the bioeconomy: Common visions in the Colombian context” will include a description of the approach developed by the SEI Initiative on Governing Bioeconomy Pathways to co-create bioeconomy strategies together with local stakeholders and showcase how applying this method helped to refine a bioconomic development pathway for Colombia tailoring to stakeholder interests, local needs and country’s resources.
